Heath seems pretty fascinated with those who speak spanish. Some of my favorite conversations with Heath on the subject include the following:
(Heath is helping Dave back the Acadia out of the garage)
Heath: What's the N mean?
Dave: Neutral
Heath: What does the D mean?
Dave: Drive
Heath: What does the R mean?
Dave: Reverse
Heath: Wow Dad, you're really good at spanish!
Heath: Guess what mom!
Me: What?
Heath: Fernando and Jesus (kids at school) speak spanish.
Me: That's pretty neat huh? Did you know Giselle (bus stop buddy) speaks spanish too?
Heath: How do you know?
Me: I hear her talking with her parents and they are speaking spanish to eachother.
Heath: Wow! They must watch a lot of Dora!
We are so cultured. While Wade isn't as fascinated by the subject, I did find myself telling him the other day that "We do not hammer our bananas!" I know we have many more spanish stories, perhaps you'll hear more in the future.

Just wait until he discovers all the flesh toned color crayons in those new crayon boxes. When he starts pointing out the color of everyone's skin you'll wonder who is teaching him to be prejudiced.
